Piko began music as the vocalist of a band during his second year of high school, and continued activities in the music department of his college.[2]In 2007 while browsing the music cover section of popular internet video-sharing site Nico Nico Douga, Piko's mother encouraged him to upload his own covers and he became widely popular on this site. His Nico Nico username and stage name comes from the name of a pet dog he has.He is good friends with another Ryouseriui on Nico Nico Douga called Sekihan. Piko is said to be a tsundere by many of his fans and Sekihan, who likely started the entire thing in their parody cover of the popular Vocaloid song magnet. About half of his fan base ship him and Sekihan together. When people ship them together, it is supposedly very obvious Piko is the uke and Sekihan is the seme, however Piko has shown to be somewhat authoritative in comparison to the latter.
