Brazilian Steakhouse
Texas de Brazil is an authentic Brazilian-American churrascaria that combines the cuisine of Southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas. The dining experience consists of a 50-60 seasonal items salad area including appetizers, soups, salads, and traditional side items, like the house baked pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), banana frita (sweet fried bananas), etc. The meats are slow cooked in an open flame grill. One receives a two-sided colored card: one side is green as in "go", and the other side is red meaning "stop". When one flips one's card to green, several meat carvers will pass from table to table slicing different cuts of roasted beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage from skewers onto one's plate. This is called rodizio, which means rotating in Portuguese.
